A paradise of giant tortoises, Prison Island (Changuu Island) is located just
25โ30 minutes by boat from Stone Town.
Built in 1893 by the Sultan of Zanzibar to be a prison, but never used as one.
From 1923โ1933 it served as a quarantine station for cholera and yellow fever.
Today it is a beautiful historical site where visitors enjoy feeding and playing with the
second biggest tortoise species from Seychelles, relaxing on the beach, and taking photos.

Stone Town Tour: Explore the historic city of Stone Town and learn why Zanzibar is known as Spice Island on a guided tour. Dinner on the rooftop of Hurumzi hotel overlooking Stone Town.
Morning safari with dolphins followed by snorkeling. Swimming with turtles in Nungwi. Dinner at Nungwi Beach.
Rest and relaxation at the resort, beach activities, and photo session. Dinner at The Rock Restaurant. Night party at Kae Funk Beach till late.
Spend a day in Safari Blue, snorkeling in mangroves, sunbathing, and late lunch at a restaurant. Visit Cheetahโs Rock for interaction with the fastest land creature. Rest of the day for leisure. Goodbye dinner with Jamil Day.
